Well, here I am after o so many years of trying actually living in the Canada's Largest city. On Thursday March 1st. I literally got all my stuff into my new apartment before the storm hit. I have never been happier, well I probably have, but I can't at this moment think of what it could be.
Let me tell you a little story about friendship and answered prayers. I made this move without any furniture. All I had was a lot of cloths, computer, and dishes (that have been in a box for 4 years now). I pretty much had nothing and then my friends (even without me asking them) have donated a desk, microwave, and a bunch of other stuff and they have also loaned me a TV, table and chairs. I now have or will have very soon everything that I need to make my little bachelor apt. feel like home. The best part is when I went to sign the lease on the first, my landlord asked me if I had moved everything in including my furniture, as he needed to still do some touch-up work on the walls, and when I told him I planned on sleeping on the floor for the next couple of weeks until either I could get one from friends or buy my own, he said that someone left a perfectly good futon i and an apt and I was welcome to it free of charge.
This move has taught me a lot about friendship and the kindness of strangers. A lesson I will not soon forget and can't wait until I am in the position to return the favor to either one of my friends or a complete stranger, but for now I will keep paying it forward by trying to spread kindness to all I meet and one day I will be able to do more.
Well, that's all for today if you have any comments or criticisms please feel free to post them. My commitment is to, from this day onward, reply to all comments positive and negative.
